applyjobs.club helps you decide which jobs are worth applying to and prepares tailored materials for the ones you pick. This page explains what we collect to do that, who helps us run it, and how to delete it. The short version: we use your data to run the product, we don’t sell it, and we never contact employers.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics: your name and email address, from Google sign-in.
- Limited Google Drive access, only if you allow it. We ask for the narrowest Drive permission Google offers: we can open only the files you pick (your resume) and the files the app creates for you (tailored resumes and your tracker sheet). If you paste your resume as text instead, we save it as a new Doc in your Drive and read it from there. We can’t see the rest of your Drive.
- Job postings you paste, the text we read from them, and the scores we give them.
- What you tell us while you apply: answers about gaps in your experience, which jobs you applied to, and the outcomes you record (replies, interviews, offers).
- Usage data: on our website, Google Analytics counts visits and which pages people view, using cookies (in the EU, UK and Switzerland it runs without analytics cookies). Inside the app, PostHog records which pages and buttons you use; sessions may be recorded to help us fix confusing screens. Recordings show layout and clicks only: everything you type and all text on the page is masked.
If you report a problem: we keep your message with the page you were on, your browser and screen size, and a link to the recording of that session, so we can see what went wrong. These are deleted with your account.
How we use it
- To score jobs, write tailored resumes and outreach, keep your tracker current, and email you about your applications.
- To find and fix problems, and to understand which parts of the product help.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
- We never contact employers or send anything on your behalf. You send everything yourself.
AI processing
To score jobs and write your materials, we send the job posting and the relevant parts of your resume and answers to Anthropic’s Claude API. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, data sent through the API isn’t used to train their models.
Anonymous stats
If you leave “anonymous stats” on in Settings → Data choices, we keep anonymous facts about your applications, such as a job’s score and whether it got a reply, to show everyone what’s working. These records don’t include your name, email, resume, or the companies you applied to by name, and your results are never shown on their own. You can turn this off at any time. Because they can’t be traced back to you, anonymous records already collected stay after you delete your account.
Who helps us run applyjobs.club
We use a small number of service providers: a database and sign-in provider, a hosting provider, an AI provider (Anthropic, described above), Google for sign-in, Drive and website analytics, a product-analytics provider, and an email-delivery provider. Each one only gets what it needs to do its part, and we can tell you which companies these are if you ask.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. That removes your profile, jobs, scores, answers, and tracker data from our systems, and revokes our access to your Google Drive. Files we created in your Drive belong to you and stay there. Shared job postings that other people also saved stay, without any link to you. Your session recordings and your profile in our product-analytics tool are deleted too. Records of which pages and buttons were used stay, without your name, email or anything else that identifies you, so we can keep measuring how the product is used.
Security
We use access controls so each person can only reach their own data, and we keep Drive access to the minimum. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you notice anything wrong.
Children
applyjobs.club isn’t meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and tell you by email or in the app before the change applies to you.
